Explore a mountain landscape across the year
The mountain collection follows one landscape through spring, summer, autumn and winter. Mountain peaks, a cabin and a stone footbridge provide recognisable landmarks across the four colouring scenes. Their surroundings change with the season, giving children a chance to compare a larger outdoor view while returning to features they already know. Each picture offers space for both careful observation and imaginative colour choices.
Begin with the outline of the mountains and look for the cabin below or nearby. Find the footbridge and follow the route through the scene. When you open another seasonal page, search for those same features before discussing the differences. This helps make the comparison about a shared place, rather than treating the pictures as four unrelated drawings.
Ask the child to imagine arriving at the cabin for a short visit. What might they notice first? What would they want to pack for the conditions shown in the picture? You can describe a walk, invent a name for the cabin or tell a small story about crossing the bridge. The seasonal setting becomes a backdrop for the child's own ideas.
Four individual A4 PDFs are available from the previews and buttons above. Open a file in a new tab to save or print it, then use one scene or the complete set. Finished pages can be arranged in order, compared in pairs or collected into a mountain adventure book. Revisit the peaks and footbridge together and ask which details made each seasonal visit feel different.
